Parineeti Chopra posted a video from her recent visit to the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain, where she went along with her husband Raghav Chadha. The clip, shared on Instagram, shows the couple taking part in prayers and temple rituals.
The footage captures Parineeti dressed in a peach colored saree, her head covered as is customary at the temple. Raghav appeared in traditional attire, with a saffron stole draped over his shoulders. Both were seen seated together, hands joined in prayer, during the visit to the Mahakaleshwar temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India.

The temple, located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, draws large numbers of devotees throughout the year, particularly for its early morning Bhasma Aarti ritual.
The caption and what she said about a past recording
Alongside the video, Parineeti wrote about a Shiv stuti she had recorded earlier, during her pregnancy. She said she recorded it on a quiet morning without any particular expectation. “I decided to record this Shiv stuti on a quiet morning during my pregnancy. Never imagined I would get this kind of love for it,” she wrote. She added that the recording had since become part of many people’s morning routines, the same way it has been for her own family for years.
A devotional track released days earlier
This temple visit comes shortly after Parineeti released a devotional song titled Namami Shamishan on her YouTube channel. She said the track was recorded while she was pregnant with her son, Neer, a period she described as one connected closely to her faith.
In her post about the song, she wrote, “There are some prayers that become memories forever, and Namami Shamishan is one of them. I recorded this during my pregnancy, a phase that brought me closer to faith, reflection, and gratitude.” She mentioned that listening to it now brings her back to that specific period of her life.
She confirmed the song is available on YouTube as well as other major music platforms, and closed her post with “Har Har Mahadev.”
